Classes in Pastel Painting  or Drawing or Portraiture

If you have come to this page you know how important it is to be an art student again.  I came to my art late in life and share the enthusiasm of all skill levels of creativity.   Congratulations for knowing what makes you alive!   I personally was most interested in portraits, but have grown to love landscapes and still lifes and whatever else I feel the need to capture.

LOCATION:     Classes are taught at my studio in Pioneer Square, Seattle.  306 S. Washington St.  #103  (this is the Tashiro Kaplan Building)     If you are interested in painting out door landscape scenes, we can talk about this more.

TIME:    I typically work around your schedule as much as possible.    Each session is approximately 2 hours but if you are too involved in the process... it may extend.   I'm available during the day, however I try not to schedule anything Saturday afternoons when my studio is open to the public - or the First Thursday of the month.

ONE ON ONE:   I prefer to work with you as an individual rather than a group.  I find I can convey a lot more information in a private session.   The maximum class size will be 3 - it's all my studio can hold!

SUPPLIES:  As part of my fee, I prefer to provide you with the proper tools of paper and pastel so that you can learn what works best before making a huge investment in supplies.  I can also offer you suggestions on where to buy the best supplies to make this a successful path.

LEVELS:   I work with everyone from the absolute beginner to the advanced pastelist.    You'll learn how to really look for color and to see before you even begin to paint.

REFERENCES:  Please let me know if you would like to talk to one of my current or past students to hear more of what I can offer.

RATE:   $30- per hour - minimum of 2 hours.   (If we need to hire a model, there are additional model fees)
